Significance of Kinner Mahadev

Kinner Kailash, one of the holiest sites in Himachal Pradesh, is deeply revered in Hindu mythology as an abode of Lord Shiva and Mata Parvati. Often confused with Shrikhand Mahadev, Kinner Kailash is in fact a separate pilgrimage and holds its unique place as one of the Panch Kailash.

At an altitude of around 15,000 feet, it features a 79-foot tall vertical rock Shivlingam, believed to be naturally formed. This monolithic pillar symbolizes Lord Shiva and is said to change colors with the position of the sun. The trek to Kinner Kailash is known for its spiritual significance and physical challenge, drawing countless devotees every year to witness this divine spectacle in the high Himalayas.
